FELL INTO RIVER

A man arrived at the door of the Ferry Road dance held in Christchurch recently at 11 o'clock, and told Mr. R. Stillwell that he was very cold and Yranted a taxi. Mr. Stillwell noticed that the man was soaking wet and shivering. The man said that h'e had fallen into the River Avon n-ear Fitzgerald Avenue. He had a pair of bicycle clips in his hand. He said his bicycle was on the riverbank. A taxi came by, Mr. Stillwell hailed it, and the shivering man clambered into.it.
