THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
Lew Ayres, star of "Ileaven on Earth," Universal's drama of Mississippi River life which opens at the Majestic Theatre, spent many years as a banjo player in various dance orchestras, but has now transferred his musical preference to the organ, and can rarely be induced to touch his banjo. As our next attraction we are pleased to present the young man who was recently selected as the most popular male star of the screen, in his , greatest picture since "All Quiet on ; the Western Pront." "Heaven-on Earth" was adapted i from the prize novel "Mississippi" by i Ben Lucien Burman. The climax of this absorbing pic- ) ture comes at the height of a raging | fiood, in which the great river breaks ' through the levees which form its ' banks and brings destruction to the | countryside. .
