STOCK SALE
OPOTIKI YARDINGS Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Lim'ted, report on the monthly stock sale held in the Opotiki saleyards on Thursday. There was a small yard;ng of sheep, but a large yarding of dairy stock and fat and store cattle larae forward in average numhers Dompetition for good quality Jersey heifers, close to profit, was keen and satisfactory prices were obtained. Fat and store cattle were on par with previous sale. ' We quote: — Best Jersey heifers, £7 to £8/15/-; others, £5/12/6 to £3/10/-: springing cows, £4/15/- to £6; fat cows, £2/10/-; forward condit:,oned ; cows, 25/- to £2; store cows, 5/- tc £1; 3-yr bulloclcs, good eondition, £3 5' 15/-; 2-year steers, £2/10/-; 6-tooth ; wethers, £8/10/-; weaner pigs, 10/6 ; to 13/-; slips, 15/-.
