While carrying a full load of timber from the bush, the engine back-fired, causing a fire which was responsible for considerahle damage to the chassis of the machine. The accident, which' occurred at the bottom of a very deep and greasy part of the road, gave the M.P. Motors breakdown gang, who were called upon to remove the burnt chassis, considerahle trouble and many hours were spent in towing the derelict machine out of the uneven bush roads.
