LONDON, Tuesday. Mrs. Victor Bruce, accompanied by her husband, ascended from the Solent in the giant three-engined amnhibian City of Portsmouth in an attempt to defeat the endurance record of 23 days. They hoped to remain in the air for a month, but they descended an hour later, due to an electrical short circuit.
