Forecast: Winds light to fresh, direction variable in the far north, elsewhere westerly tp southerly pre-. vailing. Weather: Unsettled north of Auck- _ land v/ith some rain; elsewhere mainly fair; scattered, showers especialiy i.n, the western and souther'n districts;temperatures becoming colder. Following are the barometer, maximum and. mbiraum therm.ome.ter, sun.shine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. ■■■■■> Barometer 29.899ins.
