Rec. July 61, 10.55 p.m. SYDNEY, W ednesday. The Royal Commissioner, who inquired into the- eharges of misconduct agai'nst Mr. C. J. Goode, transport commissionex-, and former superintendent of goods traffic of New South Wales Railway Department, has submitted his report. He finds that "Goode was guilty of serious misconduct, amounting to fraud. Referring to tx'ansactions between Goode and Davis, who was railway contractor, the Commissioner found that Davis had been paid £1800 more than he was entitled to from the Railway Department. In relation to certain other transactions Goode had rendered himself liable to prosecution under the Cartage Agreement Act. The Commissioner was unable to find any pi-oof of misconduct in regard to Goode's dealings ivith the British Express Cartage Company, or in relation to the purchase of 20 motor lorries used for railway cartage purposes.
