Weather: Still cold and squally in most districts; hail or snow in places, but mainly fair on the west coast of the South island. FoHowing are the barometer, maximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
