THE WEATHER
The Government meteorologist lasued the following weather report and forecast last nights — General situation^/Pressure is still advancing over tlie Tasman Sea on to the North Isfand, and is intensive, but an an£i^cyclone remains centred over Otago. For^enst: Winds moderate to strpbg. Easterlies to northerlies of gMe force in and north of Cook /Strait. Weather: Cold and squally with ' fairiy general rain and some heavy falls in the northern districts of the North Island; snow probable in many places; mainly fair, however, in Westland. Following are the barometer, maximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Barometer 29.81Sins. Thermometer (max.) 51.1deg. Thermometer (niin.) 32.0deg. Thermometer (min. on grass) 23.7deg. Rainfall Nil Bright Sunshine 7.1hrs.
