The Government meteoroiogist iosued the following weather report and forecasx last night: — General situation: Pressure is rising slightly in the New Zealand area, while a deep depression is over southeastern Australia. Forecast: Winds, variable, light to moderate, southerlies prevailing veering to westerly and northerly. Weather: Mainiy fair to fine with scattered showers stiil likely; temperatures milder to-morrow. Foilowing are the barometer, maximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Barometer 29.729ins, , Thermometer (max.) 51.9deg. Thermometer (min.) 29.2deg. Thermometer (m'm. on grass) 23.9deg. Rainfall Nil Bright Sunshine 6.2hrs,
