RIFLE SHOOTING
NEW OFFICER3 ELECTED • AT EXECUTIVE MEETING. PRIZES FOR THIRD SERIES. . An executive committee meeting of the Rotorua Miniature Rifle C-lub was held on Thursday eveuing, the following being present: Mr. A. V. Merriman (in the chair), Vlessrs. Walk?r, Whitley, G. H. Weir, Winslade, E. C. Adolph and W. Bates. The resignation of Mr. L. Alexander was accepted with regret, and Mr. E. C. Adolph elected in his stead. Mr. R. Price was appointed assist-ant-secretary, and Mr. Winslade handicapper to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Mr. L. Alexander. It was deeided that for the third series of matebes, trophies he allotted for the first and second highest aggregate score off the rifle, and also for the first and second highest handicap scores in both grades. The secretary was instructed to procure a .22 targat testing gauge. At the end of the third series another function similar to the last will be hild, and in this connection it was deeided to thank the members of the social committee for the success of the recent social evening.
