THE WEATHER
The Goyernment meteorologist issued thf following weather report and^-ferecast last night: — ^^General situation: Little change in situation; pressure is still low to the east, but uniform over New Zealand and the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Winds light moderate and variable with southerlies prevailing. Weather: Mainly fair, but considerable cloud and scattered local rain developing, more especially i'n the western and southern districts; temperatures stiil cold. Following are tne barometer, maxlmum and minimum thermometer, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department, for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yes- - terday: — Barometer 29.785ins. Thermometer (max.) 50.9deg. Thermometer (min.) 27.0deg. i Thermometer (min. on grass) 20.9deg. Rainfall Nil Bright Sunshine 6.6hrs.
