Rec. July 19, 9.20 p.m. SYDNEY, Tuesday. JVith a simple, but impressive ceremony, the foundation stones of the Anzac Memorial building were set this afternoon. One stone was laid by the Governor, Sir Philip Game, v. a soldier, and the other by tbe Lcmier, Mr. B. S. Stevens, as a citizcn. l ifteen thousand people gathered in Hyde Parlc for the occasion. There were representatives of soldier and ;ivilian organisations, the State Minstry and of all the churches except Lo lComan Catholic. The mepiorial will stand 100 feet igh when completed, and will cost n the neighbourhood of £70,000.
