PALMERSTON NORTH,. Mon. Severe injuries froxn whch he died this morning, were sustainsd yesterday by Mr. Herbert Carroll, aged 40, settler of Taonui. Mr. Carroll was working with a horse which bolted, and in its wild c&reer crushed him against a tree. It was found neeessary to amputate oni arm, and the victim failed to rally.
