RELIEF WORKERS' BUTCHERY
H
. DANIELS
Sir, — I should like, through the columns of your pvaper, to deny a rumour in circulation in this district to the effect that the meat sold from the shop controlled by the Rotorua Relief Workers' Association is not of the best quality. As usual "rumour is a lying jade," and in this particular instance, proof in the form of the borough abattoir manager's report, provides the very necessary refutation. In addition to this, may I point out that as we buy the best stock procurable the chanees of diseased beasts being sent for slaughtering are considerably lessened. Another suggestion, which has gained some credence, sizv is that the association's butchery business is being run with the assistan'ce of the local Unemployment Committee. This also is contrary to fact, as the whole sch'eme was engineered by and from the association's resources, under the guidance of disintarested, but expert, advisers. — il am, etc„
Hon. Secretary. Rotorua Relief Workers Association.
