MEMBER INTERJEGTS lord* bledisloe interrupted while delivering speech warned by mayor

AUCKLAND, Monday. During a meeting held at the Town Hall to discuss the unemployed boy probleni, the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, said he did not agree with the idea that the Government should find a considerable sum of public money, as the bigger the public debt became the more it would in the- long run burden the very youths they were now trying to help. Mr. w. e. Parry, M.P., interjected o

with a ra m ark to the effect that it would be better to give the young people a good, healthy constitution now rather than worry about their future burdens. ■ , His Excellency asked what the inbarjector had- said, and Mr. Parry told him. ■ His Excellency then put down his notes, and said that if the interjections continued ,he would have to retire and leave them to find a solution their own waj'. Occupy'ing the position. he did he could not continue if there were interjections. The Mayor, Mr. G. Hutehison, said there must be no more interjecting. Mr Parry and two other M's.P. were .present without invitation. After & moment's silence His Excellency rasumed his remarks. Later in the meeting Mr. J. A. Lee, M.P., was refused permission to join in the general discussion, the Mayor saying that no M's.P. had bean asked, as it was thought desirable to avoid politics.
