FARMERS' UNION

NGONGOTAHA WOMEN HOLD MONTHLY MEETING. Tbe monthly meeting of the Ngongotaha branch of th'e Women's Division of the Farmers' Union was held on Friday last. The president, Mrs. V. C. Florey, presided over an attendance of about 40 members. It was decided to hold a dance this month to raise funds for the division. Miss Stembridge gave a demonstration of slipper-making. A roll call, "Household Hints," was both interesting and amnsing. A bunile of books was received from headquarters to distribute among members. It was arranged to have a competition, "Something new for something old," at th'e next meeting. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames K. M. Martin, Morrison, Beanfill, Keith, Owen and Sinclair.
