TRAINER DEAD
NAPIER, Saturday. Peter Smith, the well-lcnown trainer, died yesterday, his death folloy/ing injuries caused through a fall from Harrowgate on the Hastings track recently. "At the inquest to-day, the evidence showed that when he was thrown from Harrowgate he landed0 on his head, fracturing his skull.
