NO TRACE OF MISSING LAUNCH IN COOK STRAIT

-By Telegraph— Copyright)

WELLINGTON, Saturday, To assist in the search for the missing launch Advance, the Marino- Department has chartered one of the Wellington Aero Club's aeroplanes to search the coast from Wellington to Castle Point. The pilot, Captain Bolt, with Captain Whiteford, nautical advisor to theMarine Department, as observer, left to-day. Visibility was exeellent and- a search was made inshore and out at sea, but without result. Southerly weather during the past week would have tended to keep the Advance near the coast, and this being the case, had she been afloat she should have been seetfe by the 'planes that have been searehing.
