nament witn an aggregate of 278, the lowest score in this class of tournament in Britain. Allis appeared in a hopeless position in the .morning, being nine behind Cotton. He however, pldyed with uncanny aecuracy, and returned 65, thus breaking yesterday's reeord. A total of 69 in the fourth round, securing a birdie at the seventeenth hole, enabled him to beat Padgham (279).
