In a Roman «Catholic district, women and children engaged in stone throwing, breaking windows of a house nearby. A second disturbance followed in an attempt by 100 men and yoaths accompanied by a mock band to enter the Roman Catholic district. The police scattered them with truncheon attack. The Roman Catholic Bisho]) of Liverpool deplored the disorders at Liverpool in which the Anglrcan Cathedral was damaged. He hoped that no Catholics participated. The windows damaged in Thursday's Orange riots were in the Anglican cathedral at Liverpool.
