CLOTHES DRIVE

BOY SCOUTS MAKING DOOR TO DOOR COLLECTION TO-DAY TRANSPORT ARRANGED The Rotorua Boy Scouts have made elaborate preparations for the clothes drive to-day, and are approaching the ; task with the traditional scout enthusiasm. The call is not only for clothes and boots, but for any goods which will be useful for the succour of necessitious cases. The proceeds of the drive will be handed over to the town's charitable organisations for distribution amongst the needy. It is hoped that citizens will respond to the call by ransaclcing their wardrobes and storerooms for disused clothes and , other articles. I A reeent similar drive in Wellington j brought forth a wonderful variety of goods which were of little use to their former owners but which proved of the greatest value to those who are sadly in need. i The boys will make a door to door call and will be assisted in the collection by members of the Rotorua Ro- ; tary Club, who, in conjunction with the Aard and R.M. motor companies, are providing cars for transport. Rotorua citizens have always willingly assisted in forwarding any worthy object and with this support, the scouts are confident that th'ey will be able to make a substantial contrib11.tion towards the assistance of families in distress. j If a scout should fail to call, a phone ring to either 74 or 27 will bring a car immediately.
