ANGLO-FRENCH SETTLEMENT (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Friday. The Italian and Belgian Governments have notified the. British Foreign Office of their adhesion to yesterday's joint declaration hy =the British and French Governments as to the method of co-operation in regard to the treatment of European problems. The British Government's satisfaction at this speedy extension of the principle was enunciated in a declaration expressed by the Parliamentary Under Secretary for Foreign Affairs (Captain R. A. Eden) in a speech at Warwick. Captain Eden added that Britain and France merely sought to give a lead in this policy of co-operation, and wished it to be speedily followed by other Governments. They believed that in this way the nations would hest be ahle to meet together the shock of the present economic depres-
sion and prepare ior the world economic eonference. Proposals in strict accord with the spirit of the covenant and the league's machinery would be needed in that world eonference.
