GRAND THEATRE.
SATURDAY One of the very best of the underwood pictures is "Homieide Squad," the Universal drama which opens at the Grand Theatre on Saturday. The story as told on the screen is convinei'ngly real, full of thrilling incidents, and enacted by a cast which' is exceptional. Leo Carrillo, as Louie Grenado, leadsr of a gang of racketeers, is superb. A master of Italian dialect, his performanee is easy and entirely natural, and he brings to his role a sinister menace that is at times overwbelming. Mary Brian, in the leading feminine role, is altogether charming, and Noah Beery contributes a particularly forceful characterisation of a police captain. Other members of the cast who do good work are Russell Gleason, Walter Percival and J. Carroll Naish. "Homieide Squad" opens with the murder of the son of th'e police captain, and deals with the qxciting incidents of the subsequent tracking down of the gangster killer. "Homieide Suad" opens with the
