WELLINGTON, Thursday. . Frederick Pevii^ (46), labourer, who was arrested in Willis Street yesterday wearing only a loin cloth and boots, was charged today with being an idle and disorderly person in that he had insufficient lawful means of support, ! also v/ith behaving in a disorderly ! masrner. The police ashed for a remand for a week, and said accused v/ould probahly be medically examined meanwhile. Acciased objected to a remand, and said he had merely been impersonating his future as a relief worker at 14s Gd a week, and was on his way to the Minister of Labour to demonstrate what would be the effect of that wage. A remand was granted. The magistrate said he could not allow bail.
