Maori Maintenance Orders. . Before Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., in the Rotorua Magistrate's Court on Monday, a Maori named Paratene Nikorina applied for a variation of a maintenance order ohtainedby his wife Gladys Molly Nikorina. After hearing the evidence, the court decided that the order he varied to provide that one shilling per week be paid to the wife (if demanded) a proviso that the wife should be entitled, at any time in the future, if it should be proper in the then circumstances, to apply for a further variation of th'e order. A. H. Kiripotia also applied for a variation of the maintenanee order in favour of his wife, Annie Mary Kiripotia, for the maintenance of children. The order was reduced to 30/per week and arrears owing were eancelled.
Men's Golf Matches A second qualifying round for the Rotorua Golf Club's championship will be played on the Arikikapakapa golf cour&e to-morrow, the draw of partners and commencing times being the same as those of last week. The first round of the Drysdale Cup competition was played on Wednesday, the results being as follows: — W alden beat Simons, 5 and 3; A. Freneh and Kinnininont, all square; Brooker heat Jories, 2 and 1; G. French lost to A. Angas, 7 and 5; P. Angas lost to W.
