WELLINGTON, Wednesday. One of the members of the medical staff of the Porirua Mental Hospital, Dr. Robert Lisle Christie, was killed in a motor accident in the Ngahauranga Gorge, near Johnsonville, this evening. The car in which he and the other passengers were travelling, left the road near the summit of the gorge and crashed 15 or 20 feet down a steep bank before coming to rest in the creek. The car was driven by the owner, Mr. Goldsmith, an attendant at the mental hospital, and the passengers were on their way from Wellington to Porirua, having attended the day's racing.
