BADLY BURNED
PAINFUL ACCIDENT WOMAN'S CLOTHES CATCH FIRE FROM STOVE. CONVEYED TO HOSPITAL. A distressing accident befel young married woman, Mrs. M. lips, at her residence at Okere M yesterday morning. Mrs. Phillips was working at stove at about 12 o'clock, when, hft clothing aecidently caught alight, ^ in a few seconds she was envelop* in the flames. The first indicatk her husband, who was working ^ side in the garden, had of the ing dent, was when Mrs. Phillips rusk outside crying for help. Mr. pk lips immediately smothei'ed n, flamesv but jinjqrtunately by m tirne hil^vvife had been very tgj burned about the body. With the assistance of frien^ Mrs. Phillips was quickly convey^ to the-King George V. Hospiy -where she now lies in a serious coi dition.
