The mystery surrounding the theft of a formula for a recently discovered explosive and th.e murder of Sir Claude Amory, noted British inventor and discoverer of the high 'explosive, is the theme of "Black Coffee," which opens to-night at the Majestic Theatre. The story of "Black Coffee," a new British film, is original and full of those cunning complications which capture the fancy of th'e mysterylover. It is a French detective play. The dialogue is taken at a rapdd pace, and is good. The acting is excellent, while in the direction Leslie Hiscott kept his camera moving to good effect. The photography is reported to be exceptionally bright and clear. The shorts include Fox News, Magic Carpet, Rhineland Memories and Universal News.
