WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The New Zealand Racing Conference showed very decisively to-day that it was strongly opposed to the re-introduction of bookmakers in New Zealand. Although those presept listened with interest to the parties favouring the proposal, when a motion was put to the vote, it was overwheljningly lost in a chorus of "noes."
