Rotorua--Auckland

Since the completion of the new road over the Mamaku, the motor route from Rotorua to Auckland has achieved great popularity and is now extensively used. The road leads through the heart of the Mamaku bush, and emerging from the bush country extensive views of the Waikato plains are obtained, the panorama of rich pasturage conveying to the mind of the traveller an idea of the wealth of the Waikato. Then following the direction of the Waikato River the road continues through fertile country,-. of which the town of Cambridge is the centre. -;This ■district has been described as the garden of the North Island, and is in parts a faithful reproduction of the choicest English landseape scenery. From Hamilton the car completes the journey to Auckland along the Great South Road.
