LONDON , Saturday. A libel action by Lady Louis Mountbatten against the newspaper People, has been settlqd oh the basis of defendants apologising and paying plaintiff's costs. The Chief Justice impounded a. copy of the publication, remarking that some of the libels were criminal. Mr. W. Norman Birkett, K.C., pointed out that Lord Louis Mobntbatten was ordered with his sh'ii) to Malta in August, 1931. His Wife naturally decided to Accompahy him, thking their two childfen; thereby' occasioriing atrocious and abomina'ble rumours.
