Rec. July 9, 5.0 p.m. LONDON, Saturday. Twenty thousand attended the Salvation Army celebration of Founders' Day at Crystal Palace. The. function was confined to a welcome to General Higgins after his Anstralian and New Zealand tour. The ceremony included a procession representing all the countries of the visitors. Mrs Carr-Gregg, wife of the Vicar of Lough, flew to the palace to present General Higgins with a sum of money that she had collected representing a penny for every mile of the 34,000 General Higgins had travelled. When releasing toy parachutes over Lough, she inadvertently threw out the handbag containing the money which is now missing. When the bag was found empty, she herself made good the amount.
