The Government meteorofogist Issued the following weather report and forecast last night: — The cyclone in the Tasman Sea yesterday has since become easier and secondary centres have developed behind it. Forecast: Winds variabie wi^h westerlies prevailing in the north, but elsewhere east to south, moderate to strong. Weather; StiU.. unsettled with rain at times in most districts and heavy in places. Temperatures cold i'n the south and moderate in the north. Following are the barometer, maxlmum a'nd minimum thermometer, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observatjon Station by the Rotorua Tourlst Department, fpr the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday: — Barometer 29.579|ns. Thermometer (max.) 50.6deg. Thermometer (min.) 41.2deg. ■= Thermometer (min. on grass) 41.6deg. Rainfall 0.93ins. Bright Sunshine 0.1 hours.
