GIRL IN MONASTERY
GREEK BEAUTY CLAIMS SHE ENTERED DRESSED AS SHIP'S BOY ATHENS, Saturday. The Patriarch of the Grerik Orthodox Church at Constantinople has publiely anathematised Mademoiselle Alice Diplarakou, the Greek beauty who was ehosen "Miss Europe, 1930." Mdlle. Diplarakou incurred the wrath of the Church hy entering Mt. Athos monastery disguised as a ship's boy, accompanied by a French gril similarly attired. No other living female, human beast or bird, has been allowed to enter the monastery since its foundation in the Byzantine 'era. Madame Maria Croisy claimed that she did so in 1929, staying a month, but it is alleged that the materials on which the claim was hased were furnished hy an Italian journalist vistor.
