WOOL SALES
PRICES AT LONDON ARE SLIGHTLY HIGHER ALL ROUND LONDON, Wednesday. At the wool saies 10,729 bales were offered, including 2518 bales New Zealand, and approximately 4825 , bales were sold. There was a fairly good selection and a large attendance. Competition was chiefly on honre account.- There were some withdrawals owing to the high limits. Compared with June closing rates medium and inferior merinos were five per eent. higher; good, 7h per cent higher, crossbreds, medium and low •five per cent. higher; best, 7£ per cent. higher; slipes, medium and coarse, five per cent. higher; fine 10 per eent. .higher. New Zealand greasy crosshred, boxhill, top price 9|d, average 7!d; slipe lamb, Gear, 8§d and 62d.
