When the ball returned to play High School forwards managed to hustle it down and over the City line to score, but the kick failed. Score: City 5, High School 3. Shortly after the kick off when the play had been takeri to High School territory the game was held up owing to Shom Kelly being injured. On resumptio'n R. Park forced the play to High School goal line but a penalty in favouf of the school saved the situation. J. Park gained possession and brought play back again and Morton securing from a scrum, put in a strong run to score. The kick failed. Score, City 8, High School 3. School Attacks An exchange of kicks put Appleton in possession. He put his backs into action and a nice exhibition of passing took play to City's area. From an exchange of kicks following a line out J. Park eventually gained possession to run up field to High School's twenty-five where a scrum was formed. The play returned to City ground. City made another good attempt but Appleton saved well. From a line out R. Parkinson broke away and brought play to the High School line, the ball going out of play once more. Wolfenden taking possession when it returned made a very good run, but was brought down at half way. Hickey found the line. Score Evened Spiendid play by High School backs enabled them to score again, Appleton converting. High School 8, City 8. From the kick off good play by Hickey, Kelly and Hurndle took the play to the School line. A scrum was formed and Hickey gaining possession managed to cross the line but the score was not allowed. Two scrums followed in quick succession then R. Parkinson forced t|ie ball out of play. High School topk the ball from their line out to City's twenty-five and from a penalty Appleton kicked a goal making the score High School 11, City 8. Shortly after resumption R. Parkinson was hurt. When play was resumed J. Parkinson broke away and made a good run down a elear field but failed to score. Up and down play followed until time was called with the score remaining High School 11, City 8.
