aorangi causes £2000 damage docking at suva

SUVA, Friday. When the Aorangi, from Auckland, was approaching the King's Wharf, the ehb tide caught the bow which erashed into the wharf at an angle of 60 degrees. The wooden decking and beams of the wharf were smashed to a depth of 30ft. The ship was undamaged. The damage to the wharf is estimated at a minimum of £500. The vessel will sail at 3 o'clock this afternoon for Vancouver Later messages state that the damage to the wharf as the result of the Aorangi's crash, will probahly be £2000.
