MUCH DISCUSSED CROUPIER NOT HANDICAPPED AT! TRENTHAM i AUCKLAND, Thursday. Crqupier was entered for events oii the first ,and third days. of the Wclr lington Raeing Club's Winter meeting hut his name did not appear among the handieaps for the first- day. Crouf pier has always raced in the colour'S of Mr. J. J. Corry, of Blenheim ,and is registered with the Raeing Conferlence in his name. The Supreme Court recently held that Croupier was the property of Messrs John and Jam'es Patterson, of Auckland, and in consequence an alteration has to be made in the registration with the confeuence. Matters in this connection have not yet been completed, hence Croifcpier was not handicapped. s -
