During the debate on the Sunday Cinematograph Bill in the House of Commons, a new clause was moved on behalf of the Government, providing that five per cent. of the sum for charity out of the proceeds for Sunday perf ormances should he transferred to a cinematograph fund, to he estahlish- , ed under the direction of the Prjyy ; Council, for the purpose. of developing • the use of the cinematograph as a means of entertainment and instruction.
