CALCUTTA, Thursday. The acute Hindu-Moslem tension which has been smouldering since the recent . disturbances, broke out in savage rioting in the Northern parU of Bombay city, following the nrar.-j der of two Hindus. The police tried'j to disperse the eombatants, who freely used knives, sticks, and stones. There were scores of stabbing eases. Shops have been closed and all traffic suspended.
