Sir. — There is no disguising the fact that nearly every person in Rotorua is affeeted by the present depression, and the difficulty of business people to make ends meet is very acute. However it is interesting„ to note that so far, those to whom monevs are due have met their debtors in a fair manner. I would like to point out that those landlords who are probably in a better financial position than their tenants should endeavour to keep their tenants afloat otherwise all will suft'er, and our town will drift back into a mere village. I would suggest that all concerned j should do their utmost to keep "the flag flying." The landlords of business premises, especially in Auckland, are doing their utmost to meet the difficulties, of their tenants in that City where the latt'er are at present having a hard struggle to make ends meet. Let Rotorua do the T n-w, n
