Rec. June 29, 9.40 p.m. SYDNEY, Wednesday. The All Blacks completely pverwhelmed Niewcastle at the Sportsground this aftemoon in tiie second nigtch of the touii, winning by 44 points to six. The local team put up a fair showing in the first half, but were absolutiely powcrless to stop the onslaught of tiie visitors iu the second spell. Holder, Page, Proctor and Manchester were the most outstanding players on- the visiting side, but Page and Holder failed at goal kicking. The game was piayed in real football weather with the ground soft, following rain. Newcastle won the toss. Holder scored within a few minutes of the start, and penalties were frequent. New Zealand secured the ba.ll from practically every line out, At the interval the score was 15 to tliree in favour of the visitors. Shortly before the dajournment, Max retired \vith a fractured ankb. The All Blacks were never really extended. Proctor scored five tries, Holder three, Innes, Caughey, Steere and Hore, one each. Corner kicked four goals, all in the second spell. Caughey replaced Bullock-Douglas at the last minute. The manager, Mr. W. Wallace and Lilburne, emphatically deny the reports that the latter will stay here and play for Manly.
