AUCKLAND, Monday. A reference to the magnitude of the unemployment problem was made by Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates at a farewell gathering to-day. He said 70,000 men are dependent on the unemployment funds, and takr ing their dependants into consideration the total became 200,000.
