LONDON, Monday. The News-Chronicle says that the oil-coal fuel discovery which has proved so successful on the Cunard liner Scythia, is the most momentous incident in the history of the industry during the century. It comprises 60 per cent. of oil and 40 per cent. of bituminous coal, pulverised to almost incredible fineness. It is mixed by a secret process. It previously failed because the coal powder sank, forming a deposit. The mixture will save 19s a ton, and the Cunard Company uses 1,000,000 tons yearly.
