Yet judging by the numbers of pipes and cigarettes in evidenee when one Is out and about, the demand for tobacco is as keen as ever — probably keener — as the tobacconists will tell you, and they ought to know. "Well that is not very surprising for at a time like this most of us need. something to soofhe and comfort us, and help us to "grin and bear it"; and it is safe to say that four men out or flve would sooner "cut out" anything rather than their tobacco. Fortunately there are some excellent brands available which are quite moderately priced, and just what you need while waiting for the clouds to roll by. These include the famous tohaccos of the National Tobacco Company, which (unlike some of the imported brands), are remarkably free from nicotine, and as fragrant as they are innocuous.
