FIRST ROTORUA SCOUTS
MAKING GOOD PROGRESS Last Friday saw the veTy good attendance of 45 Scouts at St. Luke's Hall where much varied and instructive work was carried out. The benefits of the outing on the ICing's Birthday are showing now, there being only a few boys who are not second class scouts. The boys are now getting on to more interesting and specialised work, and the result is that more ettthusiasm is being shown. We have been fortunate enough to obtain the services of a first-aid expert who is' teaching the more adyanced boys. . The other boys did, First-class work under P. L. Southwick. The last 80 minutes were spent in patrol relay races, the "Fox" proving victorious. Just one hint to those working on maps for their First-class badge: Try to make them neater and to classify ) each object under a particular headI ing, which should be explained by an index on the back of the paper.
