With a phenomenal last round score of 66, Sarazen won tlie.. open golf championship with 286, Cruickshank also rallied at the finish to tie with Perkins for second place with 289. Then came Diegel 294, Cox 295, Dutra, Jurado, Cooper, Burke 297, Hagen 298, Kirkwood was far hehind with 304. Sarazen's score has only been equalled once in 36 years- of open championship history.
