HIT BY JAVELIN.

FAIRBANKS JUNIOR. Shortly after he finished his role of a National hero in "It's Tough To be Famous," a Warner Bxos. First National Picture, Douglas Fairbanks Jnr., went out to the University of Southern California to work out with the track stars who were practicing for the Olympic try-outs. He has heen tossing the weights and was walking off the field when a javelin came whirling towards him. He tried to throw himself out of the way of the missile, but was not entirely successful and the weapon hit him in the foot. The wound was so serious that he had to walk with a cane for several Weeks after the accident. The management of the Majestic Theatre has arranged for a series of sliorts by Sir Harry Lauder to be screened, the first will be preserited to-day and to -night. "Corsair" the United Artists attraction which opened at the Regeiit Theatre, Auckland this week,will screen in Rotorua on July 18, 19, and 20. This is a thrilling picture Of the High Seas and features Chestor Morris with Alison Lloyd.
