STORY. | COMING TO GRAND/ A fast paeed drama, replete with thriTls, romance and humorous momonts, and with George O'B^ier in the leading role, Zane Grey's "The | Rainbow Trail" opens at the Grand f , Theatre on Saturday, July 2. i This is the film which was photoi graphed iu the most scenic and inpen- : etrable regions of the Grand Canyon j of the Colorado, and advance word i from Hollywood as well as from New j York, where the picture has already been shown credit it with having I some of the most gorgeous and breath-taking scenic etxects ever brought to the screen. The sound effects, too, are said to be nothing short of miraculous, partieularly the mighty thunder of the roaring Colorado River echoing and re-echoing through the deep gorges. The story revolves around the desperate attempt of a lone cowboy, the part played by O'Brien, to rescue three people from a hidden valley in the centre of a renegade section of the old West, where they secluded themselves years before. Penetrating to the mountain stronghold of the outlaws, he finds that the girl, I who is the main object of his seareh, a role enacted by Cecilia Parker,- has already been removed from the valley in some unexplainable way and captured by the bandits. The developmeht from this point on is savoured with hair-raising thrills of the fastest moving type. In this new Fox film O'Brien is reported as doihg some of the finest acting and hardest riding in his meteoric career. The word, also, is that Cecilia Parker, who makes her debut in this picture, adds much beauty and histronic ability to the screen. Other notables in the large cast which David Howard directed are Minna Gombell, Rosfcoe Ates, J. M. ICerrgan and James Kirkwood, all in featured roles. The story was adapted for the films from Grey's well known novel by Barry Connors and Philip Klein.
